How I developed as a writer

One most important learning moment from this semester would be making a strong argumentative statement with reasonings. I found slack really helpful when it comes to having a strong thesis and leaving opinions on one’s argument. It’s a great way to help you comprehend other people’s point of view and telling them whether you agree with them or not is helpful to both. I’ll also say having to write multiple drafts is very helpful. Brainstorming your first draft is
useful for one to have everything they plan on writing about. Brainstorming helped me throughout the semester by allowing me to gather my thoughts and ideas in a sheet. With this help, it brings me to my first draft where I can just play around with ideas and see how I want to organize them. Getting feedback after brainstorming is a useful way to organize your writing process as well. This allows one to understand what fixing they need and/or what they’re missing. Attitude towards linguistic standards empower language users by accepting the way they express and communicate. This brings them closer to educational opportunities.

It’s important to analyze writing and reading with a variety of different genres because this helps engage within these different genres and develop a better understanding and have a stronger writing. We learned many different rhetorical techniques that helped us develop a strong writing and find a way of comfort in these techniques as it benefits one. Different genres offer unique style and techniques that lightens our understanding in literature. By exploring the diverse genres we can have a better understanding on how stories are told. This helps us with our critical thinking skills and analytical skills.

All the reading, drafting, collaboration, revisions and editing was really important and helpful as it helped me develop a stronger writing. All these chances I got to find comfort in my writing
was important as I received some sort of help left and right till it was a final draft. Because of these techniques that help better my essay or writing, it allows me to have a better understanding as I process my way through the writing. Getting feedback is a good way to notice other people’s point of view in my writing to see what specifically I need to change. All this drafting allowed me to brainstorm, organize and collaborate with the writing till I felt comfortable and confident with the writing. Because of this, it helped me bring my thoughts together and shape them. My
editing process allows me to eliminate any errors in my writing. This was a successful process to me as it helped me better all the writings I did in this class and learned new techniques as it improved the writing.

Practicing key rhetorical items and strategies when engaging writing situations helps break down and understand what they need to fix and how. It helped me communicate with my audience and readers by sending a message to their understanding and expectations.
Understanding these keys and strategies can help one recognize what specifically they need in a writing, without this it’ll be harder for one to organize writing and make changes. This practice
helps you learn how to engage with organizations in writing. Understanding and using print and digital technologies to address a broad audience helps develop and understand different
audiences. A variety of genres can attract a wider audience and particular demographics.

Using sources to support your stance enhances a realistic argument. Summarizing a source and analyzing shows the reader/ audience that you have an understanding of your topic. Synthesis helps you gather a variety of information you need which provides more of a comprehensive point of view on your topic. Argumentation is a helpful way to attract a broad audience as it clears up your stance and persuades others by logically backing up an argument. Integrating strategies helps organize your argument while creating your own ideas and makes it easier for the audience to understand where you’re coming from. Using sources also allows you to avoid
plagiarism in your writing. This attracts the audience’s attention more as they trust you and realize that you have a clear understanding with your argument.

I personally felt like this semester helped me push myself into becoming a better writer. All these techniques were helpful to me. All these assignments and constructive feedback from both
my professor and peers was a challenge but also helped me get more creative with my work and ideas. I learned many things by structuring my writing more and paying more attention to small
details because I finally understood it means more than what I expected. This journey helped me become more confident in my writing skills and expressing my ideas and also helped my skills.
Engaging with these different genres has enhanced my skills. Overall, reflecting on my journey, I personally felt like this process helped me have a deeper comprehension of the process and has
been a transitional journey which I’m proud of and I see my growth throughout this semester and a clearer understanding of different genres and writing styles on a deeper sense
